“Father Posts to Facebook Frightening Tale of Daughter’s Attack in Metairie”
It’s a local post that has gone viral on Facebook with residents of Metairie & Kenner. As Father’s Day approaches, a River Ridge man posted about a terrifying experience in which his adult daughter was allegedly attacked at her home by a Metairie man posing as a woman.
Facebook’s Market Place is a feature that allows buyers and sellers to find each other online. In this particular transaction, the alleged victim used Market Place to sell used baby clothes. A middle-aged couple in Metairie contacted the woman and arranged to meet her at her home to purchase the clothes.
The next day, on June 10, 2019, the man supposedly used his girlfriend’s cell phone to contact the woman again and insisted on paying her extra because they were so pleased with the clothing. When the woman opened her door, thinking it was the girlfriend, the man allegedly pushed his way into her home and demanded sex from her. He even was alleged to have brought a baggie with unknown pills that he said would make their experience “more pleasurable.” The man then allegedly began pulling her by her arm towards the bathroom. After refusing his advancements and demanding he leaves, the man eventually fled and she called police.
Her father then went to the couple’s home address at 501 Thirba Street and found that the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office had also arrived. The father then took pics of the suspect in handcuffs and being placed in the back of a patrol car. But this is not the end of the story!
Some Facebook commenters posted the man’s presumed name and his girlfriend’s name. They commented about how they too had eerily similar experiences with this man and of his shady reputation. However, an online search by “The NOLA Tabloid” of Jefferson Parish’s Jail records did not yield a match to the alleged suspect’s name.
At this point, it is unclear what the suspect’s correct name is and if in fact he was arrested or not. “The NOLA Tabloid” will not identify any of the parties involved in this matter until such time as names and arrests can be verified.
