“Who is WDSU’s Casey Ferrand’s Mystery Fiancé?”

WDSU Channel 6 News has a lot to talk about. The station is making its 70th anniversary, the Saints are on the cusp of another Super Bowl run in 2019, and popular reporter turned heartthrob, Casey Ferrand, announced that she is engaged.

WDSU & Ferrand took to social media yesterday to share the news in a short video of Ferrand and her husband-to-be. However, in all the fanfare and hoopla, Ferrand never mentioned or posted her future husband’s name. Oddly enough, in the video announcement, the man never introduces himself by name.

The 1:52 video shows Ferrand starting the day in a pink robe at Belladonna Day Spa before a romantic dinner that evening at Commander’s Palace. Ferrand’s fiancé arranged with restaurant staff to drizzle the words “Will You Marry Me?” in chocolate sauce around the rim of Ferrand’s dessert plate.

In a separate social media video, Ferrand and her WDSU colleague, Christina Watkins, seem more interested in the size of the engagement ring, calling it “a rock,” than they do in who Ferrand is marrying. One well-wisher on Facebook, who seems to be acquainted with the couple, posted a comment and referred to the man only as “BJ.”

For now, “BJ” remains a mystery to curious WDSU fans and admirers of Ferrand.
