“Retired Olympian Usain Bolt Might Become Soccer’s Next Phenom”

At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China, sprinter Usain Bolt became a household name after winning gold medals for Jamaica. Bolt’s lightning-fast speed continued in 2012 & 2016, bringing home more Olympic gold medals and becoming arguably the fastest person on Earth.

Bolt is now doing like some other legendary athletes and crossing over into another sport – soccer. During an exhibition soccer match in Australia, Bolt scored two goals and was reportedly offered a contract to play professionally for the Central Coast Mariners. However, the terms of any such deal are unknown and were dismissed by some as speculation.

If true, Bolt would follow in the footsteps of such greats like Michael Jordan, who switched from basketball to baseball, and Jerry Rice, who switched from football to golf, after reaching the pinnacle in their careers.

Bolt, 32-years-old, was born in the small town of Sherwood Content in Northwest Jamaica.
