“Barack Obama Tweets About Their 26th Wedding Anniversary”

Some marriages lose their spark after 26-years. But that is not the case for former President Barack Obama & Michelle. On October 3, 2018, amid campaigning for democrats in the midterm elections, Barack Obama tweeted on his handle @BarackObama:

“Happy Anniversary, @MichelleObama. For 26 years, you’ve been an extraordinary partner, someone who can always make me laugh, and my favorite person to see the world with.”

The anniversary greeting was attached to a pic of Michelle looking out of an airplane’s window at a majestic mountain in the background.

Ironically, in the last years of his second term in the White House, Obama had been heavily criticized by conservative news commentators about Michelle’s lavish travel habits to exotic destinations at taxpayer expense.

Since taking office in 2016, President Trump has also been criticized by pundits about security costs incurred during his frequent trips to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
