“Can 5G Phones & Cell Towers Harm Your Health?”

The telecommunications industry is working with Congress to upgrade its nationwide infrastructure to 5G, or fifth generation, wireless processing. Although New Orleans is not on the immediate list, other cities in the South are, including Atlanta & Dallas.

Kevin Mottus, the outreach director for the California Brain Tumor Association, has launched a website to warn the public of what he and others claim are the health dangers of 5G wireless radiation at www.5ginformation.net.

The website lists some stunning information that is not covered in the mainstream media. For example, the Italian Supreme Court has ruled that “cell phone radiation can cause brain tumors.” In the United States, “brain tumors are the #1 cancer for children 15-19 yrs.,” prime ages for heavy cellphone use. On September 13, 2017, a letter was signed by “180 scientists and doctors from 35 countries,” recommending a moratorium on the roll-out of 5G technology until possible health & environmental hazards could be investigated by scientists independent of the telecommunications industry. There is even a listing of governmental reports issued by agencies such as U.S. Navy Medical Research Institute, Air Force Material Command, NASA, EPA, and Department of the Interior, outlining the effects of microwave radiation & magnetic fields on humans.

Mottus is making a “call to action” for the public to contact members of the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee regarding the “Streamline Small Cell Deployment Act,” or Senate Bill S.3157. Mottus claims the bill would limit or even strip states & local municipalities from objecting to the placement of cell towers based on environmental, health, or safety concerns, if such tower sites are in compliance with FCC regulations. Also, the bill would shield the telecommunications industry from lawsuits alleging harmful health effects by forcing plaintiffs to first go through a FCC administrative hearing before proceeding to court.
